FINLAY 790

 TROMMEL SCREEN

  •  High output, aggressive screen

  •  Variable screen sizes - 40mm, 25mm or 10mm

  •  Processes compost, wood, soils, aggregate and light demolition waste

The material to be screened is loaded into the front hopper. A belt evens out the feed and transfers the material into the rotating 7m long drum. The tumbling action combined with the internal screw breaks up the material and ensures a very efficient separation. The fine material is conveyed out of one side of the machine, the rejects out of the other.

The high output of this machine means that to get optimum output we recommend the use of at least two loaders, one to load the machine (ideally a 360) and the other (ideally a large loading shovel) to feed material to the 360, stack rejects and clean material.

We can supply suitable loaders and operators as required.

Compost, soil, hardcore, stone or other materials can be processed. When screening compost, the rejected material will mainly consist of wood, which can be re-shredded and composted again. If litter is present, almost all of it will be directed to the rejects, a wind sifter can be used in conjunction with the Finlay to remove plastic.

If suitable loaders are used, and the feedstock is dry, output will normally exceed 100m3/hr.

The weight of this machine (20T) means that a hard surface is essential: at the very least a good hardcore hard standing.
