With our fleet of high and slow speed shredders and depackaging unit, located at our Helmdon composting facility in Northamptonshire, we are able to process a wide range of materials from household to industrial waste. As a result of following our processes, we are able to manufacture various products that can be reused, recycled and resold. Some examples are:
- Compost - We produce a range of compost products across all of our sites – click here for details on the types of compost we produce.
- Animal bedding - Produced from clean pallet and soft wood, this product is safe for use as bedding for sheep and cattle as our machinery removes nails, staples and other ferrous metals from the wood using an overband magnet. This product absorbs moisture which helps to keep the animals dry, therefore reducing foot-rot. When the bedding is cleared out, this product can be recycled by composting it on farm or returning it to one of our compost sites.
- Wood chip for biomass - Made from clean pallet wood, our machinery removes nails, staples and other ferrous metals from the wood using an overband magnet during shredding. Processing through our Bandit Beast 3680 shredder 3” meets the G50 specification and makes excellent biomass.
