International Compost Awareness Week 2019: 5th May – 11th May
Material Change kicked off the week with another annual event of giving away compost.

This was the 12th consecutive year that Material Change and Babergh & Mid Suffolk Council joined to offer free compost to those who wanted to come and collect some at Needham Lakes, in Suffolk, on Sunday 5th May. Material Change provided 55 tonnes of PAS:100 compost at Mill Meadow on Friday, in preparation for Sunday’s event.

The weather was certainly chillier than previous years, but this didn’t deter people to come along. There were lots of smiles and it was a great atmosphere. Great to see people taking advantage of this free event. This was one of most busiest events so far with over 225 recorded vehicles entering the site.

There were two of Material Changes representatives there on the day to answer questions and ensure everything went smoothly.
