Material Change were pleased to have been invited to attend Old Buckenham Hall school’s first Eco Fair on February 14th 2020

There were over 15 stalls set up at the fair. The fair was organised and ran by the pupil lead Eco Committee and was the culmination of a week of eco themed events the school and committee organised, including Theatre Workshops, Cross-Curricular activities, Locally Sourced lunch and Public Speaking.

The fair ran from 2pm – 5pm with FREE entrance.

The school accommodate children from 3 years old to 13 years old and all years attended the fair along with parents, carers and teachers. The children were wildly excited to learn about each stall and what they could provide in an eco way.

Material Change had samples of our products, including our PAS100 compost. It was great to see the children wanting to see, touch and smell the products. I think the smelling of the compost became a bit of a dare, as we had several boys giggling and bringing their friends over to see us! It was great to talk to some of the parents who had equal passion for compost as we do. Few were surprised that we were ‘just down the road’ and that our compost can take only 6 weeks to produce from start to finish. Simon our site manager was able to go into depths about how our Anaerobic Digestion plants operate including the start to finish process and the eco circle that Material Change provide.
On our stand were 3 members of staff from Material Change and the Heathpatch Group; Simon, myself Helen and Natasha
